Where can I use my slat panels?
As our slat panels are not made from treated wood, they are strictly for indoor use only. Our slat wall panels are well suited to bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, boardrooms and offices. They are not recommended for bathroom usage or as kitchen splashbacks as they are not water resistant.

What size slat panel will I need, and how many?
An easy way to work out how many panels you will need to fill a wall is to divide the width of your chosen space by the width of our panels. By default, our slat wall panels are 600 millimetres wide, so if the wall you are intending to cover is 3 metres, you would need 5 panels.

Which surfaces can I mount my slat wall panels on?
Almost any flat household surface is suitable for affixing slat wall panels to. Brick, concrete, plywood, plaster, tile or drywall all work, but the best method of installing may differ depending on which surface you use. Make sure the underlying surface is clean and free of damage as this will make the installation process easier. Use a spirit level to ensure the surface is completely flat before starting.

What kind of glue can I use to affix my panels?
To ensure the best adhesion possible, you should use Hodgson HS45 Sealant as sold in the ‘Accessories’ section of our website. As a guideline, one tube can affix three panels when applied in a zig-zag shape across the back of the panel.

How do I clean my slat wall panels?
Our slat panels can be wiped clean with a dry cloth to remove dust. For tougher stains, spray a non-bleaching surface cleaner onto a moist cloth and gently wipe in the direction of your slat. Non-solvent based, damp cloth, duster

Can I integrate my slat walls into a lighting setup?
Yes, spotlights can be easily integrated between your slats. Just make sure to use a low-wattage bulbs and transformers or LED to prevent long-term damage to the slats.

How do I fit slat wall panels around plug sockets?
You can adjust your slat wall panels to fit around any object by cutting the slats and felt as needed.

Can I attach picture frames or wall decorations to my slats?
“Nails and screws can still be used to hang wall decorations by inserting them through the felt. Alternatively, common adhesive strips can be used to affix lighter objects to the slats.

Do the panels have any fire rating?
The felt backing has a fire rating of ‘Class B – s2 – d0’. The panels themselves should not be considered fire retardant and should not be used as such.
